Mohur is a velvety, complex rose with a spicy, aromatic opening featuring cardamom, pepper, coriander, and carrot seeds, which melds into a soft, powdery, and slightly sweet heart of rose, iris, violet, and almond. The drydown reveals a warm, creamy, slightly gourmand base with sandalwood, vanilla, amber, and patchouli, creating a skin-scent-like trail that lingers gently on the skin. Though the initial spray is opulent and evocative, especially for rose lovers, the longevity and sillage are modest, with the fragrance fading significantly after a few hours despite providing a consistent, subtle presence. The composition is praised for its elegant balance, restrained opulence, and intelligent layering of Eastern notes, reminiscent of Ta'if or Amouage Lyric, though some find it underwhelming, overly powdery, or too sweet. It leans toward feminine but is often seen as unisex, better suited for autumn and spring. Its performance is notably inconsistent across skin chemistries, with some experiencing a fleeting, sweetly medicinal drydown reminiscent of Indian palettes, while others find the projection mild and the development minimal compared to its promised depth.
