Zirh Ikon is a dymny, smolisty, amber-woody fragrance with warm spicy and balsamic accords, featuring artemisia, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and copious amounts of labdanum, incense, and cedr in its DNA. It opens with a sharp, citrussy-cinamony burst that gives way to a dense, smoldering heart where black-amber, smoking incense, and resinous woods dominate. The scent is intense, close- to-skin, and utterly atmospheric—evoking a wintry, church-like ambiance with towering hushed volumes. It wears well in the evening and winter months, offering a sleek, powerful presence that feels theatrical and intensely personal. While some find the projection moderate to intimate, long-lasting versions from the pre-reformulation era are reported to last up to 12 hours. However, the post-2016 reformulation shows diminished depth, tristfulness, and reduced sillage; many users note fading after just 3–6 hours, with a thin, unassertive trail. The character veers between broodingly grand and disappointingly synthetic and flat on certain skin types. This fragrance appeals most to those drawn to dark, ritualistic smells and are willing to test it personally, as results vary significantly across skin types and versions.
