by Jil Sander
This fragrance captures a bright, airy coastal freshness with a strong sunblock and coconut water vibe. It opens with zesty grapefruit and a fizzy aldehyde lift, creating a playful, effervescent character. The heart blends creamy tiare and orange blossom with a soft, powdery musk, giving it a clean, subtly sweet temperament. As it dries down, it settles into a warm, lightly sweet coconut base over soft musk and patchouli, evoking the feeling of sun-warmed skin and beachside lounging. Despite its light structure and short longevity, it has a refreshing, almost ozonic quality that makes it ideal for hot summer days. It bears resemblance to Miami Glow and Eau des Merveilles in spirit—clean, cheerful, and synthetic-sounding, but in a way that feels intentional and enjoyable rather than artificial. It stands apart from the original Jil Sander Sun, which is heavier and vanillic, instead delivering a lighter, more floral and aquatic take on the summer theme. It’s not a deep or long-lasting scent, nor does it project strongly—most agree it’s best suited for daytime warmth, particularly in summer. Its performance is average to below, and some find it faint or fleeting. Still, many enjoy it precisely for its breezy simplicity and nostalgic citrus-coconut charm, especially when such fragrances serve more as a refreshing scent than a signature.
