Aenotus No. 09 is a highly concentrated, unisex aromatic chypre with a fresh, vibrant citrus and green opening dominated by yuzu, mandarin, lemon, and mint. This lively burst fades quickly—within minutes—leaving a persistent, mossy base of oakmoss, patchouli, and subtle musk that evolves into a slightly animalic, indolic drydown. The scent develops a bitter-green, slightly soapy character, with a pronounced petitgrain and black currant blossom heart that adds an herbal, floral-fruit facet. While the longevity is exceptional—lasting many hours—it has a soft, intimate projection, particularly after the initial 15–30 minutes, which vanish into a close-to-the-skin aura. The fragrance is best suited for daytime wear in warmer seasons, especially summer, and is used primarily by men or those with a preference for clean, nuanced, high-end chypres. It's notable for its high oil concentration (48%), which contributes to its durability but does not enhance projection significantly beyond a moderate range.
