Cabochard EDP 2019 is a bold, vintage-inspired chypre that channels the classic dry leather and mossy elegance of Bernard Chant’s original. It opens with sharp aldehydes, bitter green galbanum, and herbal sage, creating an intense, slightly soapy atmosphere that some find overwhelming at first. Over time, it settles into a complex, smoldering drydown of oakmoss, patchouli, leather, and subtle floral notes—jasmine, ylang-ylang—layered over a woody base. The fragrance is notably unisex, with a daring, cortically modern expression of old-world sophistication. Its longevity is outstanding, lasting up to 7 hours with moderate to strong sillage, making it ideal for evening wear, winter, or rainy days. Though the formula has been softened slightly from earlier versions, it retains the core identity of Cabochard—dry, earthy, and defiantly individualistic.
