Vétiver Nocturne is a rich and complex oriental floral with a strong emphasis on tropical white florals, particularly frangipani, champaca, and jasmine sambac. The opening carries a bright, citrusy floral burst with bergamot, neroli, and cardamom, creating a lively, almost sun-drenched atmosphere. As it develops, vetiver emerges in the heart, not dominant but present—grassy, earthy, and subtly interwoven with oakmoss, myrrh, and sandalwood, lending depth rather than prominence. The base is creamy, balsamic, and slightly animalic, with ambergris, agarwood (oud), and sandalwood creating a warm, sensual undercurrent. Longevity is moderate to strong, with concentrated sillage and a distinct presence, making it best suited for evening wear. While the name hints at a vetiver-centric fragrance, the aroma is more floral and oriental, with vetiver playing a supporting role rather than leading the composition. The performance is excellent, often lasting long enough to leave a noticeable trail.
