Chi by Tiziana Terenzi is a deeply earthy, gourmand-oud fragrance with a rich, creamy opening of coffee, caramel, almond, and milk, evolving into a complex base of woody, patchouli-rich, animalic notes with a hidden vanilla sweetness. The fragrance gains prominence in the dry down, where the dark, medicinal Cambodian oud, Indian oud, and cypriol oil blend with tonka bean and vanilla flower to create a deeply atmospheric, almost primal experience. It performs exceptionally well, with a long, lasting presence that projects moderately to strongly at night, making it ideal for autumn and winter wear. Though marketed as unisex, the dense, earthy, and slightly animalic character leans masculine in scent profile. The fragrance bears a strong resemblance to Kilian's Black Phantom on initial sniff, particularly from a test strip, but upon application and over time, it reveals a distinct, deeper, more rugged character.
