Athenean unfolds as a crisp, green-fig fragrance with a strong olfactory presence of galbanum and melon, leading into a soft amber and musky dry down. The opening is bright and slightly aqueous, carrying a watery sweetness that some describe as melon-heavy, while others note a clean, slightly bitter green intensity from galbanum and green leaves. The middle reveals a light fig note, often described as lactonic and creamy, blending with white tea and melon, creating a summery, almost aquatic character that evokes a lush, sun-drenched garden. The base is soft, musky, and subtly sweet, with sandalwood and amber providing a smooth, powdery finish that some liken to Black Orchid or Parisian Musc, though less synthetic. Despite the green and ozonic notes, the fragrance is perceived as cohesive and balanced, with many highlighting its elegant, naturalistic feel. It performs most favorably in warmer months, especially spring and summer. The scent is largely unisex in character, though its sweetness and soft projection may lean more toward feminine associations for some. It has moderate longevity, lasting up to six hours, with a dry down that fades completely and cleanly without residue.
